Livestock Value chain

Livestock: domesticated animals raised in an agricultural setting to produce labour and commodities such as meat, eggs, milk, fur, leather, and wool. Livestock may be classified into Mammals, Poultry, Aquatics, Reptiles and Others

Inputs: land, housing, water, labour, Drugs, health services, and livestock feed.

Production: Breeding, fattening, Rearing, Milking, fleecing, eggs collection, etc.

Logistics: Aggregation, transporting, warehousing.

Processing: Meat, Fat, hides & skins, bones, wool, feathers, bones, etc.

Marketing: Export, Raw materials markets, Supermarkets, Retail stores, etc.

Value Chains

A fruit is the edible part of a plant that consists of the seeds and surrounding tissues, while vegetables are plants cultivated for their edible parts. a fruit is the mature ovary of a plant or the succulent edible part of woody plants, while vegetables are the edible portions of a plant that can be eaten such as the leaves, stem, tubers, roots and bulbs, the sweet and fleshy product of a tree or other plant that contains seed and can be eaten as food.

Inputs: Elements needed for production, such as seeds, fertilizers, agrochemicals (herbicides, fungicides and pesticides), farm equipment, and irrigation equipment.

Production: Includes the production of fruit and vegetables and all processes related to the growth and harvesting of the produce, such as planting, weeding, spraying, and picking.

Logistics: Aggregation, transporting, warehousing.

Processing: Grading, washing, trimming, chopping, mixing, juicing, packing, and labelling. Processed Fruit and Vegetables include dried, frozen, preserved, juices, and pulps. Many of these processes add value to the raw product by increasing the shelf life of the fruit and vegetables.

Marketing: Supermarkets, small scale retailers, wholesalers, and food services.

Cotton & Garment

a soft, fluffy staple fibre that grows in a boll, or protective case, around the seeds of the cotton plants of the genus Gossypium in the mallow family Malvaceae. The fibre is almost pure cellulose. It is a shrub native to tropical and subtropical regions around the world, including the Americas, Africa, Egypt and India.

Inputs: Elements needed for production, such as seeds, fertilizers, agrochemicals (herbicides, fungicides and pesticides), farm equipment, and irrigation equipment.

Production: Includes the production of Lint and Seeds

Logistics: Aggregation, transporting, warehousing.

Processing: Yarn spinning, weaving of yarn/Knitting, processing of fabrics, products manufacturing from fabrics. 2) Seed: extraction of crude oil, Cake and meal, Refining oil, production of by products such as soap, glycerine, Fatty acid etc. 3) Hulls: feeds, Fertilizer, Bran, Pulp, Synthetic rubber, etc

Marketing: Trading, Branding, Whole sales, Retailing.

Essential Oils

Concentrated plant extracts that retain the natural smell and flavour, or “essence,” of their source.

Inputs: Elements needed for production, such as seeds, fertilizers, agrochemicals (herbicides, fungicides and pesticides), farm equipment, and irrigation equipment.
